Bought some BSI Super Thin CA and when they super thin they mean it - its like water!  Haven't yet figured out how to apply it without pouring it all over the parts - anyone have any suggestions/recommendations as to how to neatly apply it?

Somewhere in my tool stash, I have an item that has a very tiny fork shape at the end of it just this purpose. It picks up a small drop of glue like that and you can put it where you'd like without the mess. Darn if I can find it right now............I'd take a pic of it.

You can put a drop in one of those cheap plastic condiment cups (a pack at the store is very cheap), use the tool to pick up a tiny amount.

You can trim the top of a large sewing needle, leaving a prong, to make a CA glue applicator. Use a lighter to burn off and clean any accumulated CA.

Anyone tried these?

I use something similar, and they work great. They do have three versions depending on how thick your glue is, but I only use the ones for thin glue. I also made some glue wells from some thick plastic that will hold a few drops of glue that I can dip into.

Edit: I actually never read these instructions until just now when I took the photo. I’ve been dipping it deeper than the instructions say and it works for me.?‍♂️

Sounds like you guys are describing something like this.

Yeah, only you won't have to shell out a sawbuck for what is essentially a sewing needle with the top of the eye trimmed off.

I like these - they're pretty much single-use because the glue ruins the tip soon as it dries, but I like how neatly and cleanly you can apply glue with them:

And, because I can't bring myself to throw anything useful away, I've been snipping the tip off and saving that useful-looking plastic for future scratchbuilding projects!

I'll try the modified sewing needle before I spend any money.

Indeed! We have plenty of other things to spend our money on!? I mean, if I can make it...I'm cheap, that way!

Like others have mentioned, I made my own from needles and some 1/8" acrylic rod.  They work great, and I have wide range of sizes (not all of the sizes were successful, but I kept them anyways).  Also different sizes work for different viscosity glues.  The Micorbrushes are for applying the accelerator.
