happy grumpy Posted February 17, 2022 Posted February 17, 2022 Great job on this. I build the same a while ago and it's a very well designed kit and for a snapper, it turns out pretty good. I like what you did with the wheels and tires. ?
Mike C. Posted February 17, 2022 Posted February 17, 2022 Looks great! I have the Westfalia version waiting for me.
mrmike Posted February 18, 2022 Author Posted February 18, 2022 Thank you Mario, Mike and Larry! 17 hours ago, happy grumpy said: Great job on this. I applied the whitewall decals and clearcoated them and let them dry. I installed the tires onto the wheels and a couple of decals came apart. I tried to fix the missing parts with my white Gelly Roll pen. The repair is really not that good.
Chromecop Posted February 19, 2022 Posted February 19, 2022 Cool build I like the fact that you "americanized it" with sidemarkers, looks really great!
David G. Posted February 19, 2022 Posted February 19, 2022 Very Cool! My wife owned one of these back in the Eighties. Hers was robin's egg blue with a front-mounted spare. Seeing yours brought back some fond memories. I'd be great to build one for her, what kit is this? David G.
mrmike Posted February 19, 2022 Author Posted February 19, 2022 Thank you Darryl and David! David, this is the Revell of Germany Volkswagen T2 Bus kit #07667. This is a snap kit (easy click system) with excellent detail! 1/24 scale with 109 parts.
slusher Posted February 20, 2022 Posted February 20, 2022 Great build Mike! I like your personal touches and made it your own.".
