Mopar - D Posted February 18, 2022 Posted February 18, 2022 This is a AITM resin cab that I picked up off eBay a couple years ago for a cheap price. It came with a 761 bumper and metal 2 hole rims so I’ve got some work to do on it to make it look right. I was able to flatten the front bumper but still need to shorten it. It’s also missing the interior but I have a Mack DM interior in my parts box that I believe will work. I’m going to use the Revell KW W900 for my engine and frame. I did some test fitting on while I was building my KW a couple weeks ago and it fits pretty good. Yes this is going to be another Super Bee Services truck. My plan is to have another lowboy trailer with a bulldozer on it. I’ve started cleaning up cab around and windshield and opened up the front grill. I’m going to have to find some mesh for it now. Your comments are always welcome and appreciated. Quote
Gary Chastain Posted February 18, 2022 Posted February 18, 2022 Looking forward to watching this build, I have a few resin cabs and this may help with ideas. Quote
tbill Posted February 18, 2022 Posted February 18, 2022 Dan, you keep building at this rate, you’ll be out of kits in about 3 months! seriously, this looks to be another super ( bee) build? Quote

Thanks Gary . There’s a lot of options with the resin cabs. 11 hours ago, tbill said: Dan, you keep building at this rate, you’ll be out of kits in about 3 months! seriously, this looks to be another super ( bee) build? Thanks Tom I have a closet full of car and truck kits from picking up kits over the last 18 years. 11 hours ago, DRIPTROIT 71 said: This will be good! Thanks Brian it should look good with the KW. gotnitro? Posted February 18, 2022 Posted February 18, 2022 Your finally adding a working truck to your fleet lol ! Looking forward to your build. Theres a lime green and white Husky tractor on display during the homecoming show, its a great combo. Wish I kept the picture of it displayed at the museum The wire mesh grill can be sourced from Wire form mesh available at hobby lobby. Its the same type Dave sold w his cabs. Quote
Mopar - D Posted February 18, 2022 Author Posted February 18, 2022 Thanks Jeff. I will check out my Hobby Lobby tomorrow for the wire form mesh. You know I already have a Brockway 758 Super Bee Trucking dump truck. Quote
Warren D Posted February 19, 2022 Posted February 19, 2022 I'll be following this as most of my Brockway builds have been on the A-car chassis. Quote

Thanks Warren so far the only thing I’ve come across is the front section of the frame drops down but a little evergreen will fix that. On 2/19/2022 at 1:31 PM, Dutzie said: Very interested. Mopar - D Posted February 20, 2022 Author Posted February 20, 2022 Started on the frame and mock up looks like it’s going to be a good fit just need to extend the frame where it drops down. Trimmed the front bumper also. Quote
Gary Chastain Posted February 20, 2022 Posted February 20, 2022 Are you planning on opening the hood? Quote
Mopar - D Posted February 20, 2022 Author Posted February 20, 2022 Gary I’ve been looking at it and the resin on this one is very thick and I would have to replace the hood. I’m not ready to tackle that at this time. Quote
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted February 21, 2022 Posted February 21, 2022 I don’t blame you on the hood Dan. I’ve done a few that I didn’t open the hood and have a few yet to build that I am not planning to open the hood on either. They still make great looking models and the truth is, I rarely look at the engine once they are finished anyway. Excellent work on this one so far!! 1 Quote
Mopar - D Posted February 21, 2022 Author Posted February 21, 2022 I painted the rims and now have the rear axles on also battery box with the fuel tank mock-up. Quote
Mopar - D Posted February 23, 2022 Author Posted February 23, 2022 Thanks Jeff I believe I’ve got everything on the frame now and put some primer on it. Quote
Mopar - D Posted February 24, 2022 Author Posted February 24, 2022 Sprayed the frame Sublime green today before the cold front came in here. 1 Quote
