BIGTRUCK
This custom was started by the same builder that started the 60 Corvette custom I just completed. This one was almost done but was forgotten about until it was given to me. Im not crazy about the bigger side window treatment but it is what it is. Since the interior has a swivel driver seat and the door was already cut open ,I made a hinge so the door would open suicide style. I would leave the color alone but the front was all cracked and in need of repair but I will try and get the paint as close to original. The running boards and engine area are done in old funny fur that I want to save during repaint. Im not sure yet if I will use the Olds V-8 or the flat head, but it will be done hood delete as an early custom street racer . Complete drive train ,wheels , front tires, rear skinny slicks and glass are parts box.
GMCMAN52
nice, looks like something us kids were building in the early 60's
espo
Very creative looking fuzzy fur interior. Doing the running boards, inner fenders and fire wall is going way back in time. Should you want to do something different with the front end I think you could use the fender and grill parts from either of the old AMT '40 or '39/'40 Ford kits. Modlbldr
I like that you are reviving this long forgotten project but I can't help seeing the van from Dumb and Dumber. Later-
Russell C
I like the pipe cleaner seat divider in the back seat. In the front seats .... not so much. Any way possible to fix that cringe-worthy appearance by finding some kind of equivalents to turn into seat edge bolsters? Don't know if the removal does something down the center of the seats, but maybe that could be disguised with a strip of tan 'leather', with corresponding strips in the back seat, to look like it was the intention of the original builder all along ....
