Yes, easily carved off with a sharp #1 knife and sanded flush. You have to be careful at the cab rear corners, but it’s still easier than on the later “bumpside” cabs

Looks good Bob.  I want the more austere look for my project as well.

Sanding and scraping worked for me. I also applied liquid cement to those areas while sanding, to try and remove any 'memory' from the area prior to painting. Hope this helps!
