JollySipper Posted March 7, 2022 Posted March 7, 2022 I just finished this up today! This is a pretty good kit. The fitment was nice until the final joining of the body and the 'guts'..... I didn't do a WIP on this one, as it was just a pretty straight-forward build. I did lower it, and used the custom wheels from the '62 T bird. Maybe in a bit I can get some outside pics.... Thanks for looking and feel free to comment. 6
radiohd10 Posted March 7, 2022 Posted March 7, 2022 very nice - thanks again for your tips on the t-bird fitment situation btw. really saved my butt!
AMT68 Posted March 7, 2022 Posted March 7, 2022 Great looking build and I like the color especially since it's one not often seen. And the mid to late sixties full size Chevy's are such beautiful subjects. I'll keep in mind the body to chassis fitment issues as I prepare to build one later this spring. What you refer to is possibly a similar issue I faced when doing the final assembly on the AMT '70 Monte Carlo.
bisc63 Posted March 7, 2022 Posted March 7, 2022 That really is a good looking, subtle color. May I ask what it is?
JollySipper Posted March 7, 2022 Author Posted March 7, 2022 Hey, guys, Thanks! The color is the DupliColor bronze wheel coating cleared with their 1K clear.... 1
JollySipper Posted March 8, 2022 Author Posted March 8, 2022 Thanks, Fellas! I'll try to get an outside pic so you can get a better sense of the color....... It's kinda hard to photograph....
espo Posted March 8, 2022 Posted March 8, 2022 Beautiful looking Impala SS. I like that color as well. With the metallic paint it really shows all of the great body lines.
8915civicnut Posted March 8, 2022 Posted March 8, 2022 Nice I have a soft spot for the 67 and 68 impala. I used to have a 68 ss 396 that I sold like an idiot ?.

doorsovdoon Posted March 12, 2022 Posted March 12, 2022 Lovely colour. I'm liking those wheels too. The '67 Impala is such a good looking car.
JollySipper Posted March 13, 2022 Author Posted March 13, 2022 Thank you, fellas! Yea, the '60s Impalas look good no matter what genre build you go with......

Modlbldr Posted March 15, 2022 Posted March 15, 2022 Nice work on your Impala! I like that color very much. I'll have to hunt some down. I'll keep your info on the body fitment in mind since I am getting close to that stage on my lowrider build. Later-
