1959scudetto Posted March 22, 2022 Posted March 22, 2022 In 1991 I built the aggressive-looking Zagato Coupé in commission for a hobby shop owner in Vienna. He handed me over the ultra-rare, limited edition Japanese resin kit (very few heavy resin parts, metal axles, white metal wheels, vac-formed clear parts and a few photo-etched details like emblems and wipers). At the same time an Alfa Romeo dealer had this car in his showroom, and I was allowed to take a lot of color detail photos inside and out which was very helpful in detailing the model. The model is long gone, a few color prints are left - I scanned them today - here they are: 4
Silver Foxx Posted March 22, 2022 Posted March 22, 2022 This looks great , never seen one done as a kit before . I always like the unusual shape of these , something different .
bisc63 Posted March 23, 2022 Posted March 23, 2022 I really like the lines of this little beast! Nice work on your kit.
happy grumpy Posted March 23, 2022 Posted March 23, 2022 Another beautiful build Helmut. I always liked the front grille signature of Alpha Romeos. Nicely detailed and finished. I dig the color too.

The model may be gone, but I've got a replacement: a 1/24 die-cast from the Italian Alfa Romeo Centenary collection (2010/2011) - with a little TLC and some detailing it won't look bad either - here it is as it looks like out-of-its-blister-package: 1
Koellefornia Kid Posted March 24, 2022 Posted March 24, 2022 Loved this car when I was a kid and it still looks cool as does your model!
1959scudetto Posted March 25, 2022 Author Posted March 25, 2022 (edited) Hallo Oliver, there is also a diecast available in 1/24 - I just started a new topic about this in the diecast section of the board. Edited March 25, 2022 by 1959scudetto

Phildaupho Posted March 28, 2022 Posted March 28, 2022 Great to see a model of a car I always thought captured the look of a bulldog in a beautiful way.
