Gramps46 Posted April 29, 2022 Author Posted April 29, 2022 Fujimi kt of the Dome Zero RL(1979 Lemans) That Dale is a masterful build of the Dome Zero. Congratulations. I have the kit but have not tackled it yet but yours is certainly an inspiration.

I already had this one but many of the decals were flaking off. It was done a long time ago. When I opened the new kit it had both liveries so now I have a new decal sheet and am re-doing my original build plus the new one. Yours is definetly inspiration. I didn't know you could add all that detail. Thanks for posting your build. It will be great reference.
williamdp Posted May 31, 2022 Posted May 31, 2022 OK, if nobody is going to show Alfa's, here is the MFH Hiro 1969 Le Mans 33/2. 4

Gramps46 Posted May 31, 2022 Author Posted May 31, 2022 I have been waiting patiently to see this Alfa. It was well worth the wait William. Exceptional.
williamdp Posted May 31, 2022 Posted May 31, 2022 Thanks guys ? And I have to also thank the late MQ for designing and printing the snake and the Lucas lion (see top photo). Now, since we are in longtails, how about a Maserati (1/24 Aardvark resin kit, Le Mans 1960) Made the front wheels "steerable", also a few modifications here and there, but most importantly replaced the "Herb Deeks" wire wheels by outside laced ones from our Portuguese wizard Fernando Pinto. 4
Gramps46 Posted June 1, 2022 Author Posted June 1, 2022 This is truly a beautiful build and photos William.
Rich Chernosky Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 Kind of an odd looking car but you have made it into a masterpiece. Great job Wm.

Wow William, both the Maserati and the Alfa are simply stunning builds. The Alpha looks like a beast of a car. Wonderful how cars all looked different from each other back then.

Absolutely marvellous Alfa Romeo, William - this proves again the fact that the 60's had the most wonderful racecars (at least for me). Edited June 2, 2022 by 1959scudetto

Ben Brown Posted June 4, 2022 Posted June 4, 2022 A few of mine. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics. Revell Ford GT Hasegawa Mazda 767b Fujimi McLaren F1 GTR Fujimi Porsche 917K (I guess this one counts, as it was used as a camera car for the movie, IIRC.) Fujimi Ferrari F40 4
1959scudetto Posted June 4, 2022 Posted June 4, 2022 Very nice models, Ben ! The 917 K #20 participated in the 1970 Le Mans race with Jo Siffert/Brian Redman (DNF). 1
Pierre Rivard Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 My modest contribution...just to keep this thread moving. 1971 winner, OOB Fujimi kit. 4
ismaelg Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 Hello, Sorry I missed this thread before. Here is my 2016 LeMans GTE Pro class winner Ford GT using the Revell Germany kit as a starting point. Thanks, Ismael 3
bbowser Posted June 25, 2022 Posted June 25, 2022 My only Lemans car to date, plan for a few more. Audi R10 TDi - 2006 overall winner. 4
Gramps46 Posted June 25, 2022 Author Posted June 25, 2022 Well done Bruce. Thanks for sharing and keep them coming.
1959scudetto Posted July 12, 2022 Posted July 12, 2022 Here is my version of the Porsche 907 longtail which was runner-up (2nd place) in 1968 behind the Gulf GT40 of Rodriguez/Bianchi. Driven by the Swiss Steinemann/Spoerry, they beat all the factory 908s. I reworked my old crappy Heller 908 for this one: 2
Gramps46 Posted July 12, 2022 Author Posted July 12, 2022 Really a good looking 907LH. Your efforts to convert the Heller kit really paid off.
Ben Brown Posted July 18, 2022 Posted July 18, 2022 I finished this Tamiya 956 from the ‘84 Le Mans race a few weeks ago. I used Indycals decals and Classic Racing Resins rear wheels. I found out late in the build that the car was actually a short tail 956, but I didn’t want to spend another 50 bucks on a resin conversion and replacement decals, so I’m just living with it. Ben 2
Gramps46 Posted July 18, 2022 Author Posted July 18, 2022 Very clean and well done build. Thanks for sharing it with us. 1

Gramps46 Posted August 16, 2022 Author Posted August 16, 2022 Very well done and realistic. If we had smell-a-vision I be smelling hot oil.

When I was a kid I loved the ford GTs but the Ferraris were so beautiful. This was my first model factory hiro kit and it was very intimidating. Just took my time and it came out. Now I really like mfh kits. Doing a lemans winner right now. Another mfh Ferrari in 1/24. Making it a touring car.
Gramps46 Posted August 17, 2022 Author Posted August 17, 2022 I am looking forward to seeing this "little boat" when it is done.
