1972coronet Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 I've ordered from this feller quite a few times, and have always been highly satisfied with his products. He does custom requests, too -- same price (very reasonable) as his 'in-stock' items. He hooked me up with an instrument panels/gauge set for my 1973-1974 Duster annuals; and now, California licence plates to my specs! Right down to the registration stickers -- he's quite knowledgeable about year-to-year variations, too! Here's the link to his eBay store. Don't hesitate to purchase his awesome items! bestmodelcarparts | eBay Stores 1

All absolutely first-rate. 1 1

Well, let me put it this way: I had 'Best' make up the following plates; following, their respective applications: 1.) 'YQV 295'. That was the plate on my parents' 1969 Dart two door. The 'registration' stickers are for "1971" and "1972" (prior to the 1976 calendar year, California issued two 'year' stickers. The 'month' sticker premiered on/around 01/01/1976) 2.) '026 BZM'. That's on a former coworker's/ friend's 1970 Swinger 340. I'm planning to replicate it. 3.) '337 GBL'. That was my 1972 Dart's plate. Sold the car in 1999, and have lost track of it. I'll apply that one to any 1972 & earlier kit. 4.) '726 HYH'. Was on my 1973 Duster. Car's long gone (totalled in 1992 by a red light runner), but will vicariously live-on placed on the MPC 1973 Duster annual I've got to build (with legit TB3 blue paint for it) 5.) '101 JOV'. A friend's late-build 1973 Duster was festooned with that number ("J" is an overlap assignment: works on either a 1973 or 1974). That one's going on a 1974 Duster MPC annual. 'Best' will create any custom plates or instrument gauges/panels. Top quality stuff; very nice guy whose service is the absolute... um... best. 1
Paul Payne Posted April 10, 2022 Posted April 10, 2022 I just followed your link to his sight and am very impressed. Will be getting an order together soon! Will also be inquiring about S.C.T.A. timing tags for my hot rods. 1
PappyD340 Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 I've ordered a ton of stuff from him and have never been disappointed with his products!
Ace-Garageguy Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 (edited) Got his resin '49 Bug split-window and Hebmüller conversions for the Tamiya '66 Beetle last week. Both very nice, as thin as styrene parts, crisp details...and though I bought them several days apart, he shipped them together, gave me a break on that cost. EDIT: They come with decals for the instruments too, window templates, and about the best instructions I've seen in any kit. Edited April 18, 2022 by Ace-Garageguy 1

I've looking at that Heb for some time... just never seem to have the $$ when I look at it.
Paul Payne Posted April 18, 2022 Posted April 18, 2022 Just placed an order for black face and white face gauges, as well as gauges for the 49 Ford and Mercury. Much appreciated! 1
vamach1 Posted April 18, 2022 Posted April 18, 2022 He is doing a set for the Revell 1/12 65 Mustang. I sent him my original dash and tach pod form the 1/12 65 GT350 kit so he can make the correct set of guages. The set he has on this Ebay store is for a 1/12 66 dash which is very different from a 65. I’ll post a picture when I get the parts back and the gauge sheets. 1

They're not always available. Last time I saw one was months ago it seems, so I put some bucks aside in case it came up again...and got it. Besides the VWs, and the Corvair rampside, I'm pretty sure I have his '50 Olds wagon too. 1
