funnycarfan Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 (edited) Hi Zippi great job thus far... I quite like this kit and always thought it had good ‘bones’ upon which one might improve it... and Lo and behold you are doing just that! I am building this exact kit right now (albeit the coupe) and did what you did with the fenders... now the trick I found was to look closely at the hinging part that installs to the hood... you’ll notice some evidence of ‘extra material being added’ / ‘material being removed from the tool’ which I suspect was added after first-offs to push the hood ‘forward’ and clear the scoop... it’s 2 tabs about 1/16” thick. What I did was remove this extra material, and slightly open the hood hole and ‘voila’ it suddenly all started to fit. I still haven’t finished it but it’s getting there Edited May 12, 2022 by funnycarfan 1

Zippi Posted May 12, 2022 Author Posted May 12, 2022 I decided to go with Rust-Oleum Red Oxide primer. I'll hit it with a matt clear then add some racing decals. 2
