Built from the Tamiya kit with wheels/lights/plates by Brusefält Model Parts on Shapeways. Scratch built engine details, headlight guards, and interior panels, then painted TS-9 British Green and TS-47 Chrome Yellow. A full writeup is posted here, and as always any comments/criticisms are welcome!

Just for grins, I put it together with some other secret agent cars...it's not too often that a Mini get's to be "the big one" in a group!

And, of course, with the other famous British spy car...

Those wheels look great. What kit did they come from (Gunze Elan?)?

They were part of the set I got from Brusefält Model Parts. I did have to relieve the backs of the hubcaps to clear the mount pins, but otherwise everything fit together beautifully.

Thanks, Bill. Never heard of that guy before. Just checked out his stuff, some interesting pieces there.

The Lotus is cool, as is the rest of your spy collection. And out of curiosity I looked up "The Prisoner", and now I have a whole new program to binge-watch. Thank you!

I tried these as a first test, and was very impressed by how well they fit the kit. I don't think you'll be disappointed, I know I'll be getting more of his stuff soon!

It's a quirky show, but in a good way. Definitely pulls you in on some of the episodes.

Nice rendition.  A friend of mine built this car years ago, and sent me a DVD collection of the series. Funny thing is, the pilot episode is the only time the car is ever seen.

Lovely model of Patrick McGoohan's 'Prisoner' Lotus 7.

For any Prisoner fans out there, the TV series was filmed at the Italianate Village located in Portmerion in North Wales. It was not just a movie set. The vil!age was built by the late Clough Ellis as an experiment in blending attractive buildings into a beautiful landscape. The buildings are very much in use today as shops and holiday lets as the village is a major tourist attraction. The building right down by the quayside is a hotel. I have visited the village with all its unique buildings a couple of times and although quite compact in area is very impressive. When I visited there was a small round building off the main square that served as a shop selling 'Prisoner' souvenirs. I think that the main square that is now formal gardens was where a swimming pool was in the series? Clough Ellis was still alive and well when the series was being filmed back in the sixties. I believe he went on well into his nineties and remained constantly involved with the village project.

Hello Bill . . . I tried searching for Brusefält Model Parts on Shapeways, but nothing came up ? You see, I do have an unbuilt  kit of the Lotus 7 by Tamiya, that I used as a donor kit to build a Ford Anglia 105E (specifically the wheels ) and I would like to build the Lotus, using these Shapeways parts.

Hello Noel . . . I visited Portmerion about 40 years ago now, and I remember it was a very interesting experience. I thought it was tastefully done, bearing in mind that this place is now a tourist attraction. Certainly, anyone who followed the TV series would find the opportunity to walk round the place where it was filmed, most absorbing.

I had heard about the car and series for years before I got a chance to watch it, and was a little surprised at its short appearances. Though it did sneak in a couple of other times, like the episode where he got back to London and it (and his home) were owned by the widow.

Nice to know its still around, I'd say it was a successful experiment!

Glad you found it! He does nice work, both in detailing and ensuring a good fit to existing kits. I'm definitely going to be getting more of his parts later. For my own Anglia, I used the wheels and hubcaps from the kit but added my own tires.
