Cuba_13 Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 Good afternoon, friends, so I started a new kit. Gorgeous and graceful Impala. Whats in the box. All details are prepared and washed. Everything is painted. Body in 2k clear. Body polished and BMF is done. 2
espo Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 Great looking color and paint finish. The vinyl roof looks factory. 1
Leica007 Posted April 25, 2022 Posted April 25, 2022 I agree with Espo, nice job, looking forward to seeing more.
flamepainter Posted April 25, 2022 Posted April 25, 2022 This is a really nice looking Impala. I built one a very long time ago. It had the red line tires in it that I used. The picture shows my first attempt at shadowing the flames with the airbrush. Not all that great but it did win first prize in a Hobbytown USA contest for best paint (it was a really small show) back in probably 2003 or 2004. I don't know if it is the same kit but probably an older version of it. Great job on yours, I also really like the color. Jim
Modlbldr Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 Beautiful color and vinyl top! That thing looks slick! I just finished polishing the body on my 67 Impala. Can't wait to see this one put together. Later-
Keef Posted May 1, 2022 Posted May 1, 2022 ??? that chassis detail is jaw dropping amazing!! The weathering looks perfect! 1
Monty Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 I really like where you're taking this. Love the paint! It struck me as being a color Chevy should have offered, but for some dumb reason didn't. The vinyl roof looks well done and and really sets that paint color off. Compliments also on the engine, interior and chassis. Looks like you ground the "hoses" off the inner fender, something I did on mine as well. Curious if you're thinking of some aftermarket wheels from back in the day.
Cuba_13 Posted May 3, 2022 Author Posted May 3, 2022 It's calling done.✔️ Wait for the final photos on the street in the under glass topic soon.
