Oldcarfan27 Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 Found this site on Tumblr with pictures of muscle cars in their native habitat. Some are cool, some are tacky, but all can inspire that next project. You can practically hear the loud exhaust. All are from back in the day and NONE of them have 22" wheels! https://70sstreetmachines.tumblr.com/ 3
peteski Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 Ah yes, those were the days. Might as well add my own '76 Camaro for the day. Looking at it now, I think I overdone it a bit, but I had lots of fun in it. 14" on the front, 15" rear. 2

Oldcarfan27 Posted April 26, 2022 Author Posted April 26, 2022 This one's for 72GP Hey look it's David Cassidy! 2
Oldcarfan27 Posted April 26, 2022 Author Posted April 26, 2022 Think this one ended up at Barrett Jackson? Last I read, it was in a garage fire and got scorched on the top. 2
Oldcarfan27 Posted April 26, 2022 Author Posted April 26, 2022 Ouch! Think this 'Cuda survived any better than the one it replaced? No wonder there's so few of them left. Teenagers were ruthless. Check this one out - that's a Shelby! Doubtful it's a clone, just a used car. 1
Oldcarfan27 Posted April 26, 2022 Author Posted April 26, 2022 (edited) Nothing like a few beers, som hand tools and a little "backyard butchering" to improve a car. The final result. At least they finished it! Pretty sure this was a Car Craft Magazine cover. Edited April 26, 2022 by Oldcarfan27 1
Oldcarfan27 Posted April 26, 2022 Author Posted April 26, 2022 His pride and joy - mom's car payments! 1
Earl Marischal Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 Fat rims and tyres must have been cheap back then! steve
Oldcarfan27 Posted April 26, 2022 Author Posted April 26, 2022 Blown engine #3 "Hey, I watch Starsky and Hutch!" This shot would sell Challengers as well as Dodge's ad agency could! I think I saw this one on a calendar once. 1
Oldcarfan27 Posted April 26, 2022 Author Posted April 26, 2022 Just now, Earl Marischal said: Fat rims and tyres must have been cheap back then! steve They were very common. Maybe not cheap, but a must have item for any true performance aficionado! Probably no different from the thousands of dollars drivers spend on wheels and tires today. 1
Oldcarfan27 Posted April 26, 2022 Author Posted April 26, 2022 Gotta love that award winning velvet and button-tuck upholstery. 1
Oldcarfan27 Posted April 26, 2022 Author Posted April 26, 2022 Either a really cool mom, or somebody got a smokin' deal on a car nobody else wanted! What Maindrian Pace drives when he's not stealing and wrecking Mustangs! 1
Oldcarfan27 Posted April 26, 2022 Author Posted April 26, 2022 (edited) Let's hope Gramp's pacemaker didn't short out when our young hero fired this beast up! And let's not forget to include that bastion of performance - the mighty Gremlin! Edited April 26, 2022 by Oldcarfan27 1
Captain Spaulding Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 Some nice rides on there, thanks for sharing the link and the photos.
