I recently got my new dual fan spray booth and love it.  So, I'm now thinking about filter replacement.  I'd like to find something local at my Lowe's, Home Depot, etc.  For you fellows that have been using a spray booth for a while, what filter material do you use and where did you get it?

Your spray booth looks a lot like the one I bought a few years ago. The filters are a unique size and seem a little overpriced to me.  I have been using filter material that I pick up at Home Depot. They offer a couple of different materials that you can cut to size and that is what I have been using for a long time. Raoul Ross' suggestion is the same type of material offered by Micro Mark but at a much lower price. I've been accused of being cheap so my go too place for almost everything has been Home Depot.  I also use the different sized heater ducts they offer to route the exhaust from the spray booth as well.   I hope you didn't go by their illustration for the exhaust fan especially if you're spraying any lacquer paints.

Thanks Dave.  I routed my exhaust up through the ceiling.  Since it's a dual fan I thought it would have enough power to do the job and it does. Yeah, I need to go out to Lowe's or Home Depot and see what they have.

Thanks Dave.  I saw those when I did a little research this morning.  I'd really like to get a roll and cut my own.  I think if I can find a roll somewhere local I'd get a better deal.

unfortunatelly you wont find a better price than amazon for rolls unless you order direct from china. I got a roll 50 ft long for under 10 quid

To help with filter life I stretch a double layer of those horrible cotton wipe down cloths that come on a roll. When it gets a bit grungy and looking like being blocked just replace it. You will get a lot longer life out of your filter.

Also rattle cans clog the filters faster than airbrushing as there is a lot of paint coming out of rattle cans

Why not get one of the better quality furnace filters and cut it down to size that fits the spray booth?  Or even a cheap filter, but that will not catch as many particles as a better filter.  There are lots and lots of options.

That is the size filter I use. I started with a 4 fan plate from a paging transmitter (remember pagers?). I got a 16x25x1 air filter and built a scratch built booth around it.
