Captain Spaulding Posted May 11, 2022 Posted May 11, 2022 Decided yesterday to get started on my next build, wanted a simple easy kit. After looking through my stash decided on MPC'S 1974 Plymouth Road Runner. Got the body in primer yesterday and some paint on it today. Going with Hemi Orange for the color, not sure about the interior yet in between black or tan.

That might not look to bad. 14 hours ago, drodg said: White with white stripes After googling it white interior might be the way to go, already got white stripes in the kit supplied decals I'm planning on adding to the body
FLHCAHZ Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 A Friend of mine had a '73 'Cuda that was Hemi Orange with a white interior, Looked great.
David G. Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 It's nice to knock together a "box shaker" from time to time. Looks like you're off to a solid start. David G.

Captain Spaulding Posted May 14, 2022 Author Posted May 14, 2022 Got some more work done past few days, engine painted and assembled and chassis painted. Pretty bare bones kit so didn't take long to do.
Sam I Am Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 Nice to see one of these being built. I helped a friend build his 1:1, and have collected the stuff to replicate it.

Captain Spaulding Posted May 17, 2022 Author Posted May 17, 2022 Got the interior painted and assembled, came out decent. Found myself a brown sharpie which makes detailing woodwork much easier. Not much left on this one, just a little more assembly then can call it finished.
FLHCAHZ Posted May 18, 2022 Posted May 18, 2022 Looking good! This will be sharp when it is all together
David G. Posted May 18, 2022 Posted May 18, 2022 Good progress on this! Nice interior details. David G.
flamepainter Posted May 18, 2022 Posted May 18, 2022 This is coming along quite nicely. I really like the interior details and under chassis details. The body color is spot on and should look really good with the white interior. Excited to see the finished product. Jim
NOBLNG Posted May 18, 2022 Posted May 18, 2022 (edited) Looking good.? But I think your steering wheel needs to be cranked 180.? Edited May 18, 2022 by NOBLNG
