damodelguy az Posted May 18, 2022 Posted May 18, 2022 had a 53 buick body that the roof was pushed sideways badly. after not happy with soaking, decided to cut roof off and make a truck of it. used the 66 ford pickup roof. originally i had seen a step side bed on it from a picture i had of one. tried different beds, but kinda liked the fleetside look. ended up using a 57 chevy pickup interior and chassis 1
Raoul Ross Posted May 18, 2022 Posted May 18, 2022 Please tell me you're gonna run the exhaust out the port holes! This is very cool!
NOBLNG Posted May 18, 2022 Posted May 18, 2022 Good start! ? Nice job on the roof, and the fleetside does look best.?
David G. Posted May 18, 2022 Posted May 18, 2022 Interesting combination. I think paint and trim will go a long way toward tying the design elements together. David G.

A high line brand like Buick deserves a classy full dress bed, pre dating the Cameo. Very cool idea.
TransAmMike Posted May 18, 2022 Posted May 18, 2022 Pretty cool there Glen. Some interesting bodies in the background too.
Wolf Posted May 18, 2022 Posted May 18, 2022 Just out of curiosity, where did you get the ‘53 Buick Road Master body or was it a kit? That’s the first car my father owned when we came to Canada in 1960. Dark Green on the roof and light green on the body. I loved the waterfall grill and tons of chrome on the car. Cheers, Wolf
Oldcarfan27 Posted May 19, 2022 Posted May 19, 2022 Here's the conundrum, is this a WIP for a car? Or a truck? 1
Zippi Posted May 19, 2022 Posted May 19, 2022 I see this as more of a WIP for a truck from a car. Nice way to tip the scales.
damodelguy az Posted May 19, 2022 Author Posted May 19, 2022 i believe the body was an r and r, maybe from star model originally. thanx for interest and encouraging words. glen
Butter 1 Posted May 19, 2022 Posted May 19, 2022 I like the style side, a "Buick Cameo". Your choice of a top looks good.

Rocking Rodney Rat Posted May 21, 2022 Posted May 21, 2022 Good to see some slicing and dicing?.... -RRR
Steve H Posted May 21, 2022 Posted May 21, 2022 Awesome stuff Glen. Very nice slicing and dicing indeed.
