Funkychiken Posted May 21, 2022 Posted May 21, 2022 The earliest of these are from the late eighties, I would have been around 11 to 13 years old... Some of them are from later on. The lambo outline was traced, but the rest of them are freehand. I'm now mid forties and don't think I could draw like this any more. I'm also too lazy. Thanks for looking 3
Funkychiken Posted May 21, 2022 Author Posted May 21, 2022 Some more... The Honda was traced, but that's probably my earliest work. The last one is the last drawing I have done, its out of proportion, but probably still my best work. I love all kinds of cars hence the strange mix here! 3
Ace-Garageguy Posted May 21, 2022 Posted May 21, 2022 These are all quite nice. Kindof a shame to have talent like that and not to develop and use it. 1
cobraman Posted May 22, 2022 Posted May 22, 2022 I have to agree with Bill. I figure if I look at a drawing of a car and can tell what it is it must be pretty good ! ? 1
redneckrigger Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 There are some very good skills on display there! You should keep up the work, as well as what Bill says.......................find a way to put them to good use. You, sir, have talent! 1
JPL-ACE Posted January 12, 2023 Posted January 12, 2023 Man I like your stuff. and as it happens, my 1st real car was a 57 Ford 2 door post. Guess which drawing got my eye. But they are all good. I am releasing a few 50 year old drawings I did while in school. Look for "VERY OLD ART" in Auto Art forum, if you are interested in pencils. Is my 57 T-Bird good enough? 1
W Humble Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 Nice! Great modeling of form! Don't we all wish we'd had time and inclination to take just a bit more time and refine the detail one more degree? Still, just getting stuff on paper is the challenge. Ole' Wick, MA in Art Ed., but I became a sculptor, then a writer. One of my sketches, for a friend who had wrecked his Honda bike and had a freshly rebuilt 305 with a 350 kit; interested in karts, about 1965. 1
