Zippi Posted May 23, 2022 Posted May 23, 2022 (edited) Finally got this one finished. The frame was broken in half out of the box so I started off with problems. It fought me all the way even though I knew about the issues with this kit. Paint is Rust-Oleum Red Primer cleared with Rust-Oleum Matt clear. The bed cover is painted with Tamiya Matt black. Box stock except for the plug wires. WIP : http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/170522-1940-willys-pickup-gasser/ Edited May 23, 2022 by Zippi 1

Hmann68 Posted May 25, 2022 Posted May 25, 2022 Looks great, especially like the primer look. I’d say it was worth the hassle!

Andrew McD Posted May 26, 2022 Posted May 26, 2022 I am not familiar with the problems this model has but your clean build certainly seems to have overcome them. I have to agree with all the comments on the creative good looking paint job. Looks like you nailed another one even if it did have you pulling your hair out!

Everything seem to be ok all the way through the rolling chassis. After that there were fit issues.
roadhawg Posted May 27, 2022 Posted May 27, 2022 Love it, but then again, I'm into gassers right now. It just has the right look.
