I recently finished up the AMT 1961 Impala kit.  I built it as my first attempt at a lowrider. The paint job is Splash paints, black base, sparkle silver base, and then 7 different kandy colors. I went to Detail Junkees for the photo etched badges, and Lowrider Parts for the resin wire wheels, tires, and tailpipes.

Oh, and this is my first post.  Hi !

Welcome to the forum Chad! Any what a way to start off showing your skills - your painting skills are off the chart! Thanks for posting.

I also am very impressed with the beautiful paint job on this '61. It must have taken a long time considering time between coats and colors. I hope you don't mind but I have saved these pictures to use as inspiration sometime later when I get ambitious enough to tray and tackle something so grand. I think I have a '63 Impala that something like this would be great on. This really is what a custom lowrider should look like (in my opinion). Great job Chad.?

That is very nice. Been wanting to try doing a paint job like that. I have enough trouble as it is though.
