Is there a difference between both Meguiar's products? I used the 2.0 version for a long time, but now I can only find Scratch X.

I have started to use Scratch X on finished paint based on a recommendation by another builder here on the Forum. In my usage I think it falls somewhere close to the Tamiya Finish polish I have used in the past. I think it may actually leave a shinier appearance than the Tamiya products. As for the fine Meguiar products I usually find them at almost any chain store auto supply or even at Walmart.

Thank you, but my question was if there's a difference between Scratch X and Scratch X 2.0. Which one did you buy?

Sorry, I wondered off point. Mine is the Scratch X and was originally purchased to fix parking lot scrapes on your 1:1 cars.  What we used to call "The Alpha Beta Rash" after the grocery stores in SoCal.

I have the 2.0 but never used the original.  I'm sure it's the better version of the original, but with there ultimate compound i stopped using it.  I also use chemicals guys C4 clear cut and P4 polish.

I've heard good things about their ultimate compound. I was thinking of starting to use that followed up by the ultimate polish. I usually skip wax after as that is a bit too much for me.

You can find it at walmart cheap that's where i found the scratch x 2.0.  If walmart doesn't have it autozone or advanced will but it'll cost little more.  Far as wax goes i use there cheap stuff in the red bottle(cleaner wax) think it was like $5 when i got it.  You basically put it on even and smooth and let it sit for a few mins and than wipe it off, and than do one final wipe.  Takes less than 10 mins easiest step in the sanding, compounding, and, polishing routine.
