Terry Jessee Posted July 10, 2022 Posted July 10, 2022 This is a resin kit from LeMans Miniatures in 1/24 scale. The car ran at LeMans in 1970 with Vic Elford and Kurt Ahrens driving. Somebody missed a shift and over-revved the engine on the second day, and the car was retired. Great profile... 2
Ace-Garageguy Posted July 10, 2022 Posted July 10, 2022 Very, very nice. I've acquired several 917 short-tails in styrene, with the intent of converting one to this configuration. Maybe I should save myself some grief and hunt down one of these.
1959scudetto Posted July 10, 2022 Posted July 10, 2022 Very nice model, Terry - and at the same time a fitting tribute to "Quick Vic" who always wanted to drive the longtail in Le Mans (1969, '70 and '71) and passed away in March 2022.
Pierre Rivard Posted July 10, 2022 Posted July 10, 2022 Congratulations Terry. A great rendition of a beautiful and brutaly fast race car. Is this a conversion kit or complete with chassis, engine, etc?

TonyK Posted July 11, 2022 Posted July 11, 2022 Very nice! The car looks ancient now but still looks fast also.
Rich Chernosky Posted July 12, 2022 Posted July 12, 2022 Very Nice looking Porsche 917. Got one myself...nice to see it built.
