On the episode that ax man builds his car isn't it Chevrolet powered? and definitely does not have that supercharger. Ryan made a very poor choice of transmissions, while great on the street for handling all that horse power. not so great for drag race. Why do you need 10 gears? a powerglide works great for drag racing and it only has two. As for Shawn no idea what he was thinking, but he looks like he is having a good time. JJ's  Nova is already leaking, but they will be able to fix it in record time. While Shawn is unable to get any slicks for his car. (there is a ton of speed shops  in Vegas). Kye i believe has to be the odds favorite right now. however i wouldn't mind Axman either. #anyone but JJ.

It had a SBC in it when he started. IMHO he'd have been time, money, and effort ahead to just stay with that; he went to a LOT of $$$ and work to change it over but he wanted to keep it "all Ford."  And you're right, we didn't see anything about the supercharger in the build episode; that was a surprise addition on this episode.
