This is my buddy’s 1949 Big bad John Deere tractor.He drives it on local roads,and has yet to get pulled over..Lol??.And he’s got 5 more just like it.He collects tractors.

I don't know about New Yawk, but it is legal to drive farm equipment on the road in California if you follow a few basic rules. It has been too long and I have forgotten what type it was, but there was a restored oldie like your friend's close by here. You could occasionally spot it in the Mc Donald's drive-through line.

Yea im not shaw.Here in New Yawk,u need plates,and there are none,but my friend doesn’t care,so occasionally he drives it to a cruise night just down the road from his farm.And he does live on a large poultry farm.Lol?

Basic Googling leads me to believe that the laws there are similar. You don't need a plate for farm equipment. Here you need a reflective triangle on the back and you need lighting at night. That said, using one for commuting on 45 mph speed limit roads would probably be frowned upon.

Hmm,interesting,?I didn’t know that.Thanks for the info guys.I do know one thing,the tractor is loud and slow.Chug chug chug.lol.

In Britain you need plates and registration to operate a tractor on public roads, but I don't know of any place in the US where that is mandated. Many years ago locally there was a guy who got his license revoked after several DUI arrests and ended up driving around on his Farmall until he was arrested again for operating that drunk, because that's still illegal, registered vehicle or not.
