Terry Jessee Posted July 18, 2022 Posted July 18, 2022 This is a loose replica of the Mercury woody from the Mod Squad TV show. The actual car was a '50, but difference are pretty minor--park lights, some chrome trim. So I just had fun with Revell's '49. What was most fun was the weathered wood effect. Some of that was a happy accident, but it turned out pretty neat. 1
happy grumpy Posted July 18, 2022 Posted July 18, 2022 Turned out quite close to the real car. great job .
espo Posted July 18, 2022 Posted July 18, 2022 Great looking Woody Wagon. I like the slightly dirty look, more realistic looking. This is kit of my favorites and built one as a fictious Hawaiin Surf Shop car. I like your roof rack, that design looks just like the picture.
bisc63 Posted July 19, 2022 Posted July 19, 2022 Takes talent to make happy accidents; most folks just make the regular kind. 1
TooOld Posted July 19, 2022 Posted July 19, 2022 Well done Terry , looks like the TV Woody to me ! The wood grain did turn out very nice and I like your roof rack !
stavanzer Posted July 19, 2022 Posted July 19, 2022 Great Build! I like the kit, and I am glad Revell tooled it.
Bainford Posted July 19, 2022 Posted July 19, 2022 Looks good, Terry. Captured the look of the 1:1 nicely.
