I was a few years back. Actually started because i was into old lanterns.  I bought a bunch of pieces and parts here n there. The best one i got to work was a montgomery ward, if memory serves me right. I have others that work but never found all the right parts. But this one is a beauty. The shade is a reproduction from the early 70s. Then they still had a bit of hand painting but mostly decals or print. It is cool to burn them every now n then. This one had a special paint job which i was able to save a bit with clear coat. The one with the green shade which is an original is really good for parts as the font developed a hole. I have another font but it is newer. The chrome font has no built in pump, you need an external hand pump. Think i have 3 fonts with parts in the garage.

Yeah. I use coleman fuel. They use mantles similar to lanterns. Some have to be pre heated. If it has a loop in the tube going up. These things are responsible for many house fires back in the day. Imagine living with these things and actually needing and using them?
