vamach1 Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 The build did not present any major issues. The stripes are challenging especially around the scoops behind the door. It’s Box stock with the intent of being eligible for that class in a future contest. Revell really stepped up with all the extra decals compared to the earlier versions of the fastbacks. 4
AMT68 Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 Nice work and a great looking color. I've thought about buying this kit (or the coupe) but have always wondered how well I'd do with the decals. Your alignment looks very good.
cobraman Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 Nice color on the body and wheels. Good looking interior also.
espo Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 Looks great, I like the realistic looking finishes. Don't often see these built as a convertible. Clean looking interior.

Dragonhawk1066 Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 Looks awesome! That's an excellent body/interior color combo!
Brudda Posted August 5, 2022 Posted August 5, 2022 Very , Very NICE. Great color choice! and great build.
TooOld Posted August 6, 2022 Posted August 6, 2022 Beautiful Shelby Rex ! That color really looks great with the white interior , well done !
mrm Posted August 6, 2022 Posted August 6, 2022 The colors suit the car very well. I love the white interior.
Mike 1017 Posted August 6, 2022 Posted August 6, 2022 Nice work. I am building one now. Mine is gonna be Black Jade. Those sport mirrors are the smallest that I have seen. Did you have any problems gluing them to the doors? Mike

Mike The mirrors were glued on before painting and I think I used model glue with some super glue reinforcement. They could still easily break off though.
Mike 1017 Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 Rex, My mirrors go on last. There is too much of a chance of knocking them off during final assembly I have knocked of stuff while taking pictures of my cars. I pin them as much as possible. These mirrors are much too small to pin. Mike
vamach1 Posted August 9, 2022 Author Posted August 9, 2022 Thanks for all the compliments everyone. I had not built a Revell kit in a while and I was pleased how this one came out.
