Shane D Posted August 12, 2022 Posted August 12, 2022 (edited) So it’s been a few years since I built a model car. To get back into the flow I bought this mk3 Toyota Supra off eBay . I added the aftermarket add-ons(kit included) to the bumpers and removed the center roof section to make a targa version. Then sprayed it with a gm paint that is close to the teal that was offered for this generation of Supra. I still need to paint the window gaskets and clear the body. The interior is terribly under detailed so I added a little detail, I still plan on adding more to spice it up. I’m not a great scratch builder but it looks better then how the interior looked before . Plenty more to come on this build. Edited August 12, 2022 by Shane D

1972coronet Posted August 12, 2022 Posted August 12, 2022 Keep on keepin' on! Welcome back to the hobby. Be on the lookout for the soon-to-be-reissued MPC 1984 [?] Supra -- one of the best kits from the 1980's, and one of MPC's finest offerings. 1

It is one of my favorite kits. I lost it and all my builds this past June . A asphalt truck hit my house and burnt it to the ground.

Shane D Posted August 23, 2022 Author Posted August 23, 2022 I added trim detail and chromed out the housings for side markers . I also bought some 19 inch 3d printed wheels and tires. . Im still debating using the wing or go custom and what I’m doing for the interior yet.
