AMT tooled up some new Light Truck Tires in the 1990s/2000s. Both were Goodyear Branded.

Wrangler RT/S with a mild street tread, and Wrangler AT with a slightly more aggressive all-terrain tread. Strangely, the AT tires are also slightly smaller than the larger RT/S street tires. Both have laser sharp Sidewall Engraving and excellent tread detail.  Truly great tires.

Round2 has given us some good Pickup Kits lately. The 2013 (or so) 1978 Ford F-150 Camper Special, and the 1972 Chevy in both the Coke and (not seen since 1972) Slope-back car carrier versions. Both have decent period Tires. But, it would be nice to see some more modern rubber as an option in these kits. Rather than ask Round2 to add these tires as options to these older kits, could we please get them as a Parts Pack?

These tires have not seen the light of day since the 'Great Pickup Boom" of the 2000's fizzled out close to twenty years ago. They may be in the recent re-issue of the Ford F-150 Lightning from a couple years ago, but I do not have that kit, and can find no information on what tires Round2 used in it. Other than that, this Excellent Modern Rubber has vanished.

So, Round2, How about giving us the Goodyear Wrangler Tires in a parts pack? I'd pay the going rate for a pack with 4 RT/S tires & 4 AT tires in it. They don't even need pad printing!  I'd like to be able to upgrade the tires on some of my older trucks. If it is a matter of Trademarks or Licensing, heck, I'd even take them with the Wrangler logos scrubbed, if that is what it would take to get these tires back into circulation. Please consider this as a Parts Pack.. There are many, many truck builders out there.

Thanks!

I would be thrilled if Round 2 released a Parts Pack with the duali wheels from the 1990's promos. There are so many pickups in the Round 2's lineup that could use a bit more weight. Yes, I have sent them an email about this.

I think parts packs would be a great idea. Especially for the truck kits.

AMT have the hot rod style parts covered, and it's either Aoshima or Fujimi that have import wheel/tire packs covered, but alas...no truck stuff.

But until that happens, this is where being able to print my own has come in handy. Duallie wheels and tires? No problem.

I think the model companies have left this segment of the hobby to the aftermarket. Back in the day Satco offered truck and car tires and then resin casters stepped in. Not sure whatever happened to Alan Raab at Ma's Resin, but he had some nice tires but has been AWOL for some time. Fireball Modelworks and Scenes Unlimited have done some nice stuff and hopefully Danny at Scenes Unlimited gets his health issues resolved and he can re-open and help us truck guys out.

If one really wants those AMT Dually wheels and Goodyear Wrangler AT tires from the 90's promos and snap kits,  Modelhaus Tires offers them and they are exact copies of the kit offering.

Would you have the Modelhaus Part numbers for those tires? I find it hard to pick out specific tires from his listings. "Christmas Tree Syndrome" I guess.

Courtesy of Tom Kren. Sad blowing thru epic stuff Don and Carol had. Unsure if numbers same with their sons parts, but you can get sizes and compare some.
