Earl Marischal Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 Who had the idea of chopping down tops first? (Like so many 3 & 5 window coupes get.) I'm guessing the idea surfaced post WWII, maybe connected to salt flat racing? Anyone cure my curiosity? Thanks steve
stavanzer Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 A Really Good Question. I have no idea, but I'll bet it comes from Southern California, and before WW2. I'd bet Dry Lakes Racing maybe. But, it could have come from East Coast Hot Rodding, just as easily. Hopefully somebody here knows.
