slusher Posted November 8, 2022 Posted November 8, 2022 I don’t know if anybody else gets ideas like this". I pick my son up at high school at 2:30 pm. I get there at 2:00pm and listen to a radio program and watch traffic. I get som really neat ideas from watching work trucks and pickups on the highway. Just thought I would share.. 1
KWT Posted November 8, 2022 Posted November 8, 2022 (edited) Oh yeah... chillin in a parking lot watching the traffic has lent me several ideas. If only I had the time and money to execute lol. Edited November 8, 2022 by KWT 1
Calb56 Posted November 8, 2022 Posted November 8, 2022 During work, now that I decided to return to this hobby, I'm going through build combinations in my head... 1
Oldcarfan27 Posted November 8, 2022 Posted November 8, 2022 Ahh, carspotting. When I see a cool car in the wild, sometimes I just gotta take a picture for the "someday" pile. 3

JJ Deuce Posted November 9, 2022 Posted November 9, 2022 sometimes it's stuff I see on the road, or a replica of a car that belonged to me or a friend/family member, but usually it's just stuff I would want to drive in 1:1 2

Or did they have to pull a rescue on someone who went too fast down that hill? ? The angled street sign adds to the distorted view. Great truck, though. 1

Mike 1017 Posted November 12, 2022 Posted November 12, 2022 I watch Mecum Auto Auction for inspiration. Especially paint colors. Paint chips are Ok, but you can't beat seeing the real thing. I am building a 1969 442 which is painted Hugger Orange with the kit's white decals and the soon to arrive Keith Marks white set. I would have never even thought of a Hugger Orange 442 until I saw one on Mecum. It is spectacular !!!! Mike 1
LL3 Model Worx Posted November 13, 2022 Posted November 13, 2022 I personally enjoy Movie/TV vehicles... And 80s exotics/ sports cars. And late 60s early 70s road racing/ trans am cars. 2

The one way sign is for the side I was on. I had to move quick otherwise loose the shot and had no time to square up the camera! But yeah, I guess it is definitely an interesting presentation! BlackSheep214 Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 I get a lot of inspiration/ideas from magazines (Hot Rod, Muscle Cars, etc...) muscle/custom car calendars, car shows, auto auctions on TV (Mecum, Jackson Barrett, etc...) Pinterest, online search images. There’s a lot of places to inspire ideas to your builds. 1
