This is the Revell kit. Nothing fancy, Built straight from the box. Really nice and detailed kit, builds up like a breeze. Tamiya pure white and french blue for the top. I remember taking a ride in one back when I was 7, I built it as I remember it. Probably not the same blue but close enough.

As always ,thanks for looking.

That's a good looking 59 Impala Mario.  Great finish.  I have the AMT 59 Impala but that chrome down the side of those fins looks like a chore since there is really nothing to guide use when cutting the bmf.

You delivered again, Mario ! Nice color-combination and fine finish.

But keep attention - there seem to be some bad guys around that parking lot trying to demolish your rear bumper  :-(

Thanks Bob. The revell kit has the side molding trim as separate part, like the 58 impala, it's a great time saver.

Seeing that build put a smile on my face (and I could use that right now). Well done!

Thank you Joe, glad it made you smiled. Sometimes, it's all it takes to make one's day. Cheers.

Thanks Helmut, Grand pa took the car again without telling me, dang. I realized the bumper was dropping after posting. Brought it to the garage and fixed it. Sent grand pa to bed without desert!.?

Very nice model. ??

I remember seeing those back in the days and thinking how good they looked. Still thinking it is a great design.

Joe

Thanks Joseph. I am glad that I grew up around those, although they were quickly disappearing in the late 60's.

That's a beauty.

Thanks Ray. BTW, is the re issued AMT cobra any good ? what would be the best kit for a first cobra build?

cheers.

I picked one up at a model car show/flea market in Toronto earlier this year. Even the guy I bought it from said “These are getting hard to find.”

Good luck with your search.

Beautiful Impala and in some great colors to boot , well done !  '59 and '60 are my favorite years . . . probably because I've owned several of both years .

  • Thanks 1
