I built this a couple of years ago now. It sits on one of my speakers in the living room and has been there almost since the day I finished it. Visitors gravitate towards it once they spot it, and it always strikes up conversation about the movie.

All acrylic paints here with the exception of the light globe. I do believe that is Duplicolor primer.

I rusted up the storm drain pretty good and made our victim pretty bloody. It's a fairly gruesome scene for a model kit of I do say so.

Some day I may light that globe. The post is an aluminum tube and the globe is hollow so it's clearly made for it.

Need to add an extra base. Add recording of Slim Whitman and make the helmet a snow globe with green snow that cycles when Slim is played. ACk,ACK,ACK

That seems like more work than my talents ( such as they are) could handle Greg. But I will take it under advisement.

TonyK, this is a Moebius kit. Should be on eBay for about $25.00 or so.

I love this build. The blood stains on the concrete are tremendous.....looks real. This is an interesting get to get ahold of. I tried to order one from my LHS. It's still listed in the catalog but that it won't be available until after the first of the year.

Well thanks for the compliment Mike. The key to it is really a no brainer. Tamiya clear red. It's glossy so it looks nice n fresh and nasty. Sprinkle liberally and there you have it.

I had no idea they were reissuing it this year. I see them on eBay (overpriced of course) all the time. But if you keep an eye you can snag a deal.
