Beamerman Posted November 29, 2022 Posted November 29, 2022 Hi all, my latest finished Model. Monograms 1956 Ford Thunderbird. I bought this kit years ago with a broken windshieldframe and decided to build a "Custom Gasser". Not a real Race Gasser more like a Show car. Suspension are from my parts box. Wheels are Keystone and Mickey Thompsons from MRC. Some other Parts like Blower, Headers etc. are also from my parts box. Paint is simple Tamiya Black. Gold mixed by my own. I tried to build a clear hood. Not perfect but i can live with it. I will add a Moon Tank later. Orderd but actually not delivered... All comments are welcome! Thansk for looking and have a great time...winter is coming here in Germany so more time for Model building ? Cheers! 2
70 Sting Posted November 29, 2022 Posted November 29, 2022 (edited) Pretty sweet. You’ve made some great mods. I would be showing off that engine too. ? Edited November 29, 2022 by 70 Sting 1
espo Posted November 29, 2022 Posted November 29, 2022 Great looking paint finish. Like the engine and the stance. 1
happy grumpy Posted November 29, 2022 Posted November 29, 2022 I like the idea of a clear hood to show the well detailed engine. Great mods. Makes a beautiful, unique T-bird. 1
Kah puts Posted November 30, 2022 Posted November 30, 2022 That's a sanitary build, just as sanitary as your workbench. 1
bogger44 Posted December 2, 2022 Posted December 2, 2022 That is a tasty build for sure, cool touch with the clear hood. Love the stance. 1
Zippi Posted December 2, 2022 Posted December 2, 2022 Nice looking 55 Thunderbird. The clear hood looks pretty kewl. Dealerships back in the day used have would sometimes have cars with clear sections on the hood to show off their engine. 1
TooOld Posted December 2, 2022 Posted December 2, 2022 That's awesome ! Love the clear hood idea and the cut down windshield , very well done ! 1
