XYHARRY
G'day guys. Here is my spin on the Tamiya 1966 Beetle. I've built it box stock except for a lowered stance, deletion of the fender mounted turn signals and custom two tone. I also added ignition wires. I hope you like. All feedback is welcome. Cheers, David. ??

Classicgas
Very cool. How did you chrome the wheels?
stitchdup
very cool to see it with the aussie chrome trim, or flash panel as some call it. I'm sure i read somewhere it was one of the parts made in australia to help it qualify for aussie manufactured status. you guys got some really weird vws we didn't get in the rest of the world (eg. country wagon and truck)

As for the wagon and truck, I don't recall seeing any on the road growing up in the 60s and 70s. Cheers, David. ??

G'day Helmut, the wheels and tyres are box stock. I chromed them with a Molotow chrome pen and deleted the hub caps. Cheers, David. ??
