PatW Posted December 28, 2022 Posted December 28, 2022 How can I remove the paint masks after painting, without catching either the 'glass' or damaging the edge of the paint please?
stitchdup Posted December 28, 2022 Posted December 28, 2022 i lift one corner with the point of a blade. once i can get a grip on it i fold it back on itself and pull it back. you dont want to pull away from the tape, but back across and it leaves a better edge. the masks are better removed before the paint is fully dry or you risk getting chips on the edge
PatW Posted December 28, 2022 Author Posted December 28, 2022 Well thanks Les! So many times catching the paint and ruining it! Thanks again! 1
Mike 1017 Posted December 29, 2022 Posted December 29, 2022 I use liquid mask. It washes off with soap and water. Mike
peteski Posted December 29, 2022 Posted December 29, 2022 Tweezers with very sharp pointed jaws work too (similar to using a knife, except then you can grab the edge of the mask and pull it).
