Altered Ego
Third, is the Arlen Vanke Duster. The Hemi came from the Moebius super stock kit. The tunnel ram and carbs came from the Grumpy's Toy Vega. Fenton wheels are from the parts box.
Altered Ego
And finally, the Butch Leal Duster. The same Hemi combination as the Vanke Duster except that I used the carbs and stacks from the Moebius super stock kit. The wheels and tires are from the Grumpy's Toy Vega. I hope everyone enjoys these. My budget and parts box really took a hit on this binge build.

Altered Ego
Next, in this series, I opted to build the Wally Booth Rat Pack car. I opted to build the 1968 version, but put the 69 decals and Cragar wheels on it. Strictly based on what was in my parts stash. The Time Machine Chevelle once again donated the big block chevy. This required cutting the transmission tunnel out and replacing it for the bigger transmission. The tunnel ram came from the 66 Nova Pro Street kit and the rear spring shackles from the Old Pro kit allowed the stance to be close. A pretty simple and straight forward build. I am now going to take a break from this series and do some more altered wheelbase stuff.

Altered Ego
I pretty much only use Testors Extreme Lacquer and get as close as I can.

Yea I’m with you on the Testors. For years we didn’t know how good we had it when we could go to are local hobby shop or hobby lobby and get all of the factory muscle car colors . Now we’re not left with a lot of choices as the testors company was run down the tubes. I do like the tamyia line of paints but I have to travel further or send away to get them . Oh well. Altered Ego
This may not look like a Thanksgiving Day topic, but I did finish it on the dinner table about 2 hours before dinner. Someone posted this picture on the Milan Dragway Memories website and I thought, "Man, I could build that!" I started with the AMT 1967 Camaro Z-28 and used the big-block, headers and ladder bars from the Old Pro Nova. I used the intake and carbs from the 66 Nova kit. The American Racing wheels and tires are from a Moebius S/S kit and the chrome steelies and slicks are from the parts stash. The decals are from Chuck's and the flames are from Slixx. M W Elky
That looks great it’s a really close to the photo great find on the flame decals, and you can get the kits 40% off at the Hobby Lobby.
Old Buckaroo
Jeff those are all great, and many of them have been on my "want to build" list. I always liked the Wally Booth camaro! You've had a productive Thanksgiving.
Altered Ego
This one has been on my build list for a long time and finally found a suitable (read cheap) kit on eBay. The AMT 1969 Cougar Eliminator was the base kit and the 427 Cammer was purchased from Pegasus Hobbies (Moebius). The tunnel ram came from the Old Pro and the carbs and velocity stacks are from the AMT 1967 Camaro mentioned above. The Old Pro leaf springs fit perfect and gave the proper ride height and the traction bars were leftover radius rods from the Double Dragster kit. Surprisingly, the Moebius hemi headers were a perfect fit. The front wheels and tires are also Moebius S/S pieces and the rear wheels are from the Moebius Nova Gasser with the slicks from a Polar Lights funny car kit.
