redzed Posted January 26, 2023 Posted January 26, 2023 i've been searching for info on how to tint windows but gave up. i imagine a translucent spray paint would work ? thanks for any responce
iamsuperdan Posted January 26, 2023 Posted January 26, 2023 Tamiya have a "smoke" spray paint, which is like a translucent black. Light coats of that until you reach your desired darkness. And depending on how involved you want to get, your local auto parts store would have those DIY window tint kits. The material is pretty thin, so some of that might work. And I assume would last a heck of a long time when using it for 1/24 or 1/25 scale!
tbill Posted January 26, 2023 Posted January 26, 2023 Food coloring and acrylic floor polish (pledge or whatever it is now), mix food coloring with floor polish to desired level of color.
Shark Posted January 27, 2023 Posted January 27, 2023 I have used real automotive tint before. I went to a professional tint shop and they gave me enough "scrap" to last a long time. My preferred method is the Tamiya smoke spray.
