AMT Wild Hoss Bronco WIP

I was posting this in the what have you done today thread in the general section of the forum,but I thought i should post it up here.It’s the AMT Wild Hoss Bronco kit. I modified the kit suspension to sit higher so I could use the big Fireball resin M/T tires. I wanted to use the Fireball resin five 15X12 slot wheels for a classic look.The resin Coyote 5.0 is from JPS custom wheels/tires.The bronco freewheelin’ decals are from Rays Kits.

I got the body painted Tamiya TS-14 Black and the clear is  2 part automotive urethane. The interior is Tamiya Red with Mr Hobby matte clear. The interior decals are from the Rays decal sheet

I have it sitting on four wheels now,and i just finished up the engine. Still a little ways to go but getting there.More updates soon.

I had to strip the body of my Bronco project after burning through the paint polishing it out? Gonna get the body for primer and hopefully get it painted this weekend.

I got the bronco primed again. I also got the top painted using the same method Yellowsportwagon did on a 66 GTO Restomod he built to do a vinyl top. it definitely gave me the look I was going for.Thanks Tim!?

Did you use the exact same paint as he did? I can't get that paint here and tried three other types but could not get even close to his results so went back to stippling liquid cement.

Your results look perfect!

Thanks! I used the exact same paint and method he did. I found the paint on Amazon when I couldn’t find it around here locally. It’s definitely going to come in handy?
