Model Factory Hiro 1963 Ferrari 250 Lusso

I'll be tuned into this one! ❤️

I just finished a 3D file to print of this car...........I too have the MFH Ferrari 330 LMB----essentially the racing version of this car. Dunno when I'll build that one, but my 3D file I'll be printing when the weather gets warmer. The room I print in is a bit too chilly now as there's no heat vent in the old house I'm in, and to keep a space heater running constantly in the room is too expen$ive.

Aw Brudda, you have great taste! Can't forget the 288GTO though as well.

I sold my Dino some time ago, have a 308GTB now, still love it too, and it's NOT red!

Ciao!

I love this car, I have worked on the bodies of these cars at Newport Imports in Newport Beach California. Great fun cars! I sat in them all the time because they were just sexy than anything. A Ferrari hits all your senses. Looks, feel, and smell. Only a handful of cars can do that for me and this is one of them.

P.S. red is still a great color ! Some People complain about Ferrari red but I will NEVER do that. Your black car is fantastic but I will never get tired of a Ferrari being red. Your a lucky man to have that car!

I am having a difficult time deciding a color. I was thinking of a silver blue with a red interior. Fly yellow was on my mind but it’s not a luxury color to me. More of an exciting race color. Maroon is also a color I am thinking of. Red is still on the reserved list. Have to look into yellow as David Lee has one and it looks pretty good. Steve McQueen had one but it was a brown metallic that I forgot the name of. Not really exciting on a model. But I might play with that. Difficult decision

Looking forward to watching your build.  Got these photos at Brothers Car Collection in Salem a few months ago.  May help detail your build.

Wow Bruce, so many gorgeous MFH builds... sensory overload!

Out of my league from a skills standpoint but tons of fun following your work.

Pierre, you have fantastic builds. I too was very intimidated by hiro kits, but if you take each step as a complete model, one step at a time , it’s good. A lot of patience it takes. And I have sometimes had to redo an assembly 5-10 times. Or you can be like Chris Smith and jump right into it and things come out great. He is an incredible guy. Not afraid of no mfh kit. Him and my friend Mark are exceptions to the rule, as us mere mortals, I have to take it one step at a time. Sir definitely not out of your league.

Love watching people build MFH models...I have built a few and just started on this one

012-vi.jpg

I picked it up the NNL West last June. I opened it up over a month ago and the photo-etch parts are missing.

I have contacted MFH about replacing them, but have not got a response.

Any help would greatly be appreciated, thank you

I’ll ask Mark as he has a connection there. Curt this is Bruce , I met you at the NNL West and have you those extra raffle tickets. Hope you won the 3 d printer. I will be talking to Mark soon and see if he can resolve this issue for you.

Thanks. Then I should watch and learn and get convinced to take one of these on. Is there a sales outlet in North America or ordering form Japan the only source?

I was talking to a friend at the NNL West and he said it’s better to buy direct from Hiro. I do not know how he does it but he likes it. He said great service and it only takes a week to get your model.

The grill opening has been fixed. Most people would have left it but I could not. Going to polish the grill surround next week. In my polisher. Going to fit headlamps, bumpers and cut out the glass to see how that fits. Need to do this. Mfh has suprises everywhere. Going to prime soon.

I've got this kit in my stash and am following along closely to see if there are any issues so I will be forewarned.

I've been buying direct from MFH website and found they are quick and efficient with my purchases arriving in sturdy packaging.

I've earmarked my one to be painted Verde Pino.

Yah, I was talking to Paul also and he said the same...I'm trying to contact MFH, but no response, yet. It was good talking to you as well. I'm enjoying your build, c'ya!
