gotnitro? Posted May 22, 2023 Posted May 22, 2023 Great job on the orange ! Enamels gassing out seems like it takes forever, but they hold their shine really well Looking forward to your progress 1
tractoraholic Posted June 18, 2023 Author Posted June 18, 2023 Did alittle more on my International this weekend and we finally have a rolling chassis. I scratch built a support for the shift rod that mounts on the intercooler that somehow walked away somewhere lol. So I have to build another for the shift rod. Once that's done then battery box sits on cross members above transmission and remaining wire goes to battery box. Once everything is in place I'm probably going to weather the immediate engine area alittle more. The last picture is my fifth wheel with a trick for you guys, I use permatex ultra black gasket maker, just dab some on and use a bottle cap and smear, looks convincing enough for fifth wheel grease and drys so there is no mess. 3
cifenet Posted June 18, 2023 Posted June 18, 2023 Bravo on the frame details! Love intake piping work too! I really like the overall look of the frame setup.

I really like the overall look of the frame setup. Thank You, on some of my intake and exhaust piping, I've started using aluminum tubing. With a little finesse it can be manipulated into certain curves and bends. Edited June 19, 2023 by tractoraholic 1
tractoraholic Posted July 16, 2023 Author Posted July 16, 2023 Good Evening, Progress update. Chassis is about complete, just have a little more light weathering to do. Started on the interior, 3
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted July 21, 2023 Posted July 21, 2023 Very nice! I’m looking forward to seeing this one finished! 1

'70 Grande Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 Stunning work! Looking forward to seeing this build cross the finish line! You don't happen to have any pics of your plumbed engine before it was installed into the chassis, do you? (I'm trying to better educate myself on diesel engine fluid lines and their locations and purpose). 1

But I used this article From Dutch Model Truck club on Fotki,https://public.fotki.com/modeltrucks25thscale/model_magazine_articles/car_modeller/cm05_jan_1991_cummi/. Hopefully this helps and there is all kinds of reference material on there for model trucks.

tractoraholic Posted August 7, 2023 Author Posted August 7, 2023 Good Day Everyone, I started some work on the cab, polished the paint a bit, but didn’t go overly crazy with it, as I don’t want a show truck gloss finish but more of a fleet look. I installed the cab glass which was a lot of test fitting and trimming. I put on the decals and think it turned out all right. I think I will add a IFTA sticker and a couple fuel tax stickers on the sleeper compartment storage door. 1
Bowtienutz Posted August 7, 2023 Posted August 7, 2023 That is coming along great. I've been waiting to get Dave's version of the cab. I really want to build a replica of this local beast. 'GVW "A Lot" two lift axles and a detachable tag.

That truck is actually based out of mid-east Pennsylvania. They recently added that extra 5th axle in the rear a few years back. Beast of a rig!
Bowtienutz Posted August 8, 2023 Posted August 8, 2023 It's out of Pottsville/Cressona Pa. The 5th tag axle is removable.
