MPC Toyota Supra Tire Question.

I've got the new MPC Supra.

I want to try to replace the tires with something I like better. 

I have two sets of old American Satco tires.

Which set would work better?

10012 DUNLOP SP9-185/60R14

10011 BRIDGESTONE TIRE-165/70R14

Or, is neither set any good.

Also.

Does anybody want the set I don't Need?

I'm not sure which set would look best without the kit in front of me. I would, however, be very interested in the set you don't need. I've been trying to find some decent 14" and 13" tires for a couple projects. If you wish to sell or trade for a set, send me a PM. Cheers.

I'd go with the 185/60. Lower profile than stock, but better looking in scale. 165mm would be much narrower than stock.

225/60-14 was the factory tire size.

I have never actually measured model kit tires and see how accurately sized they are compared to what the writing on their sidewall shows.  I suspect that they aren't accurately scaled (width, overall diameter, and the wheel diameter). So I guess my answer would be "use whatever looks good".

Well, I have the Supra kit.

I'll do a Tire Comparo tomorrow.

And, I opened the kit, and looked at the tires.

Jason was correct, the Dunlop 185's are the best choice. The Bridgestones were just way too small.
