Yeah, the truck is looking pretty cool right now.

And I know things will only get better as you make your progress.

I noticed you have extensive Model Master paints on your shelf, hope you have a plan once things run out.

My favorite semi gloss black paint is from the Model Master’s acrylic series and I am still upset about it.

There are places willing sell online, but now they are asking $$$ for a little bottle….

I bought a whole bunch of bottle paints when Hobby Lobby was clearing out that brand. Yup, the semi gloss black is my favorite as well, dries quickly. Not sure when I run out what I will do.

That is a thing of beauty and I'm not really a truck guy.

Slow progress today, detailing the hood and cab. IMG_1700.jpeg.5cca86cee013a338b8fe8e51ef8e321f.jpeg

It's paying dividends though. Looks great.

Yeah, the "thousand and one details" stage of a build always seems like a slog to me too. I think the one thing that gets me through it is knowing how close I am to completing the build.

You've done quite a lot of work on this one and it shows, it's certainly a build to be proud of.

Thanks guys, yes the detailing takes forever but pays off the most. Mind is already wondering into another build.

Good progress today, cab fitted to hood/chassis, sleeper fitted, bumper finished/mounted and exhaust mounted. Next up, finish skirts, mirrors and more detailing. IMG_1715.jpeg.9e543b9cc560c349b9659b29235ca73a.jpeg

This is the fun stage where slowly the truck is coming alive!

The exhaust shields and pipes look fantastic here.  Very realistic.  All of the small details look great too.

Had to cut the side faring to run the exhaust to both sides, scratch build the rest of the exhaust, decided to add polish diamond plate steps, lights and decals to the faring. Took all afternoon to complete one side but gaining. I can see the finish line. IMG_1718.jpeg.541b52bdfaacb8bb9d9b7f4593cdec24.jpeg

Wow, it looks like it just came out of a truck factory tuning shop with nicely modified body kits!

The paint is sleek and smooth too.

Now it is ready for some heavy pulling! ;)

That is awesome Gary!

I love the beacons on the sleeper as well as all the other details you've added throughout the build.

Watching this project come together has been a true pleasure. Thanks for taking the time to share it with all of us.
