Albert Moore Posted February 10, 2023 Posted February 10, 2023 (edited) Hi All, This is my #36 M&M's Poncho driven by Ernie Irvan during the 1999 Winston Cup season. The only additions made were the Earnhardt bar on the roll cage, a cold air box style air cleaner, and a section of aluminum tubing for the fuel overflow tube. The finish is Testors Racing Colors #5 Kellogg's Yellow, and the decals were from Slixx. Thanks for looking. Cheers, Albert Edited February 12, 2023 by Albert Moore 3

D.Pack Posted February 11, 2023 Posted February 11, 2023 Great looking car and the grille tape detail is a cool touch. The decals, you clearcoat the sheet before using? I have two of these Pontiac kits to build along with their Slixx sheets. 1
Joe Nunes Posted February 11, 2023 Posted February 11, 2023 Have to love the M&M graphic on the rear end shot! Got a chuckle out of that one. ? Joe 1

The duct tape detail was an excuse to add more color to an already colorful car, plus it gave the model that race-ready vibe. As for the decals, I was able to apply them from the sheet without a clearcoat. 7 hours ago, ChrisR said: Looks great! Joe That was the appeal of this scheme- the whimsical nature of some of the graphics. ? 1

Those decals must have driven you nuts! Thank you, Don. I had my concerns initially, especially with the front bumper/valance decal and the rear bumper/TV panel decal, but Micro-Sol worked as advertised with helping them conform to those irregular surfaces. slusher Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 Looks fantastic! Remember Ernie well, he wasn’t afraid to push the car or drive the wheel of of it.. 1
