Monogram 55 Chevy Gasser

Built from the used to be Badman kit . I shy away from using black because I never have good luck with black . This model was no exception !  Anyway , only the front tires were a non kit item . Car was primed with Duplicolor and then black base using the rattle bomb paint from  the Roth paint kits . I did the roof with a metallic paint again from the Roth paint collection . Clear is Tamiya . Kit decals . Molotow trim . Looks like time to buy a new pen as it wasn’t exactly chrome anymore . I think it turned out ok but just ok .

Nicely done. You can never go wrong with Black, IMHO even considering the hassles you mentioned. Can be aggravating, but I think everything looks good in Black.
