ChrisBcritter
My boss sent me a link to an auction that has this sleek yellow... thing; I'll try to dissuade him from adding it to his stash (which never works!), but in the meantime, anyone know what it is? I ran the license number through both DMV sites without result; 950 NDI would have been issued around '74 or '75. It doesn't match any Fiberfab, Kellison or Bradley designs I can find. Over to the experts!
Ace-Garageguy
I used to know 'em all, as I followed the industry closely, thinking I'd start my own kit-car company someday. I know I've seen it before, the covered headlights definitely, and the car itself is much better proportioned than the majority of the "original designs" that weren't direct copies of something else. The front engine configuration is somewhat unusual too. Thinking, thinking, thinking...
1972coronet
Looks like a Bricklin, but I can't be certain -- images of Bricklin's exhibit different features. And, yes to its licence plate being 1975-issue. Last year before : 1.) Minor font alignment change & design 2.) "Month" stickers were issued [1976 calendar year].
Ace-Garageguy
Oh man...I just can't take the time to go down this rabbithole, though I'm sorely tempted. Rob Hall
Found this article, shows the quarter window style of the yellow one as an option.. those headlight covers also in one pic...seems like a lot of variations The 1969 Gazelle / Amante GT (Hebina Plastics / Voegele Industries) | Undiscovered Classics Edited March 6, 2023 by Rob Hall 1
ChrisBcritter
Rob, you got it! Thanks so much! I passed it on to my boss and we'll see what happens. Hope we can find the front hood. Looks like it's one of the tube-frame examples, surprisingly with an automatic.
