AMT49 Ford

Since I need paint for a build and need to find parts for another I grabbed this 49 from the collection I bought to see what I can do,found most of the missing parts so time to see what I can do.

I found a 50 grille and. 57 T bird engine,those tires and hubcaps were on it and I hope they clean up.

I like the ole Ford Shoebox. Should look nice once you put your spin on it.

Not sure of the color but most likely will be something seen in the 50s,since I have one yellow I am thinking a light turgouise.

Might go with a flathead or Lincoln engine.

Like the later model Ford in a Ford for power. The gold color reminds me of some of the gold base colors used for Candy Reds and other colors. I'm a big fan of both the kit and the subject for that matter.

How about leave the y-block and the spinner wheel covers, add some rust in the rockers and rear quarters, and paint one fender primer gray. Trim out the chrome and just make it "road-worthy". A survivor, yes?

I like that and might just do it,the spinner hubcaps are definitely staying.

Going to leave the gold but do some detailing,will paint the engine, interior and chassis.
