Dragonhawk1066 Posted March 24, 2023 Posted March 24, 2023 I'm all finished with my rendition of the Monogram 1978 Chevy El Camino. I painted it with a mixture of Chroma Molten Metals Copper and Folkart Black for the Copper, and I just used Stynylrez Black Primer for the Black. It's all cleared with Createx UVLS 4050 Gloss Clear that got wet-sanded, polished, and waxed for the final finish. I scratch built door handles and window cranks for the interior using pieces of strip styrene and a couple of slim discs cut from a toothpick. I also added heater hoses, spark plug wires, door locks, and valve stems for extra detail. I sprayed a couple of coats of Tamiya Smoke on the bumpers and wheels to knock the shine down a bit, and used Bare Metal Foil for the trim. Even with the extra parts for the 3 'n 1 options, it's still a fairly low parts count kit. There's not a lot of details and it's a fairly basic kit, but everything went together pretty well for a fun and relatively easy build that does look pretty good when finished. Thanks for looking! 8

How were you able to get them with the car assembled? Thanks Bill! The interior pics were really pretty easy, I just positioned the camera lens close to the window opening, adjusted the zoom to get it clear and took the pic. These new cameras with auto-focus really make things much easier than they used to be.
