Cuba_13 Posted March 25, 2023 Posted March 25, 2023 Good afternoon friends. It's time to build another model. This time I chose this wonderful box from my collection. The gorgeous 1962 Chevy Bel Air 409. Here is the contents of the kit box: I will be very grateful if you can show me a photo of the car or car model with decals, like in my kit. 2
deuces wild Posted March 26, 2023 Posted March 26, 2023 I love those amt '62 impala/Belair kits....?? Can't wait to see what you do to yours...??
Cuba_13 Posted April 22, 2023 Author Posted April 22, 2023 In the meantime, I was preparing and finishing parts for painting. The distributor is made from the remains of the sprue. I did not use the one that was in the set, because. it is very small and I could not drill 9 holes for the wires in it. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand. Undercarriage & engine - done. 4
bluestringer Posted April 22, 2023 Posted April 22, 2023 Looks really good. I like the detailing and weathering. 1
customline Posted April 22, 2023 Posted April 22, 2023 Yup, it looks great so far, I'm digging it. This kit is a really good one from AMT, for sure. I'm following. ? 1
wrenchr Posted April 22, 2023 Posted April 22, 2023 Looking good, I built the 1st issue way back when it first came out and yours looks to be the same vintage. I started a resto on mine a few years ago. My Dad's favorite build. 1
Cuba_13 Posted May 9, 2023 Author Posted May 9, 2023 The model is finished, you can see the final photos at the link: 1
Zippi Posted May 9, 2023 Posted May 9, 2023 Looking pretty good so far. Love those 409 engines. The interior and undercarriage looks good with all the detail work. 1
beeRS Posted May 10, 2023 Posted May 10, 2023 Very nicely detailed and just the right amount of weathering. This is coming along nicely. 1
