cruz Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 Managed to get this thing completed though I am kind of frustrated that the kit supplied only one RX7 decal for the front quarter panels so I guess I will get someone to print them for me. This is the American version of this car therefore I made it left hand driven and corrected the rest of the small details along the way. The kit supplies you with the rear spoiler but I had several guys tell me that most Mazda lovers like it without it so I went with that. I will definitely wait for a nice, sunny day to take several outside shots to show how beautiful that color truly is. Color is BMW Turqouis Blue Metallic. Very enjoyable build no doubt….. 16
happy grumpy Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 Very nice build and that color is just beautiful and the finish is flawless. 1
Tommy124 Posted April 5, 2023 Posted April 5, 2023 Very nice. Great choice of color and paint/ polish job, and realistic-looking panel lines (as always with your builds). 1
Ben Brown Posted April 5, 2023 Posted April 5, 2023 Beautiful! Outstanding work on the paint! Did you convert the dash to left hand drive yourself or was the part supplied in the kit? I don’t see any LHD parts on the parts layout in the instructions. That’s the only reason I haven’t bought a couple of these, yet; I’ve been holding out for them to release a US version. Ben 2
Bainford Posted April 5, 2023 Posted April 5, 2023 Lovely build, Marcos. Very high degree of realism. Very well done. 1
bbowser Posted April 5, 2023 Posted April 5, 2023 Wow! Another outstanding replica from your bench. 1

Don't hold your breath on the release of an American version, it's not difficult to perform this task using the Monogram kit....

Jonathan Posted April 6, 2023 Posted April 6, 2023 Beautiful work! Very clean and looks just perfect. I saw this in one of the RX7 groups on Facebook, I think. (I have a 1985, and it is without the spoiler. Although ... I am not anti-spoiler, if it's period-correct)
Spottedlaurel Posted April 6, 2023 Posted April 6, 2023 (edited) Very nice, you've really done it justice. It certainly puts the cartoonish Fujimi RX-7 I'm currently building into perspective! That does have a LHD dash however, so it might be another option for a USDM build. Edited April 6, 2023 by Spottedlaurel
Plashdaddy Posted April 6, 2023 Posted April 6, 2023 Stunning work! I suspect the inclusion of only one decal may be correct for the Japanese RX-7, I had the same confusion when I restored this vintage Tomica diecast which only features the badge on one side too. ?♀️
atomicholiday Posted August 29, 2023 Posted August 29, 2023 That looks great! I really like the color. ?
Rattlecan Dan Posted August 30, 2023 Posted August 30, 2023 Very nice build. Super color and nice job of clean and neat detailing.
titino Posted October 31, 2024 Posted October 31, 2024 An excellent paint job, color choice and detailing. Congratulations Marcos.
galaxyg Posted November 1, 2024 Posted November 1, 2024 Superb clean finish. Makes me want to get this kit.
