charger74 Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 I recently finished this one, built from an old mpc kit. Its painted with testors spray paint. I tried to get as close to a factory color. Thanks for looking 9
Lucius Molchany Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 Neat little car,my wife had a bronze 77 Chevette and it ran great until she drove it into a tree because she was putting on her makeup! 1 1
Dragonhawk1066 Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 Nice looking Chevette! Never thought I'd hear myself say that, lol!
Sidney Schwartz Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 Nice job. I'd probably be too embarrassed to do one of these myself, even though I once did an AMC Gremlin. ?
Rattlecan Dan Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 You did a good job! I had one, I loved it! Never died on me, gave it to my niece.
Stingray wes Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 I too had a 1:1, 1984 model. Lots of memories back in those days! Nice work on this, always nice to see a variety of builds on here and this one definitely fits that!!
Steamboat Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 Love it! I need to get one too. My wife had a white one just like it when we met. I remember we had to make a fan belt out of nylons to get it home once!

DRIPTROIT 71 Posted April 10, 2023 Posted April 10, 2023 Beautiful build! It’s funny, the cars that I hated working on, I like to see built in scale. Excellent work!
ModelcarJR Posted April 10, 2023 Posted April 10, 2023 Very nice, Eric! I have one of these that I bought back in the 80s because my dad had a 1:1 that he alternately drove along with a Pinto. When our cars broke down and were in the shop during our young work lives, we had our choice of the Chevette or the Pinto. Suffice it to say that we kids tried to keep our cars in good working order! Nice work on your build! ??

ncbuckeye67 Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 Love it! I had an 81 model. It was turd brown, with a tan interior and 4 speed. My late wife loved driving it, as much as I did. 1
David G. Posted June 26, 2023 Posted June 26, 2023 A beautiful rendition of one of GM's worst-built and best-selling cars. I don't think I've ever seen one looking better. David G.
Chuckyg1 Posted June 26, 2023 Posted June 26, 2023 Very nice. Neat and clean. I took my driver's license test in one of these. I passed.
